| Summary: | Neste trabalho é apresentado um estudo sobre o contato de superfícies imersas no R3 com algumas subvariedades, a saber, esferas e círculos. Para este estudo são necessários alguns pré-requisitos da teoria de singularidades. Para medir o contato entre as superfícies e estas subvariedades, utiliza-se uma variação da função distância ao quadrado. O tipo de contato depende do tipo de singularidade da aplicação de contato que é, a menos de uma constante, igual a função distância ao quadrado. |
| Abstract: | This work presents a study of the contact of immersed surface in R3 with some submanifolds, namely, spheres and circles. To develop the subject is necessary a background on singularity theory. The contact between the surface and the submanifold is mesured by using a modified distance-squared function. The type of contact depends on the singularity type of the contact map, that is, the singularity type of the distance-squared function. |
