O ensino remoto emergencial nas escolas rurais no municipal de Prata/MG: uma análise documental dos anos de 2020 a 2022

Abstract

This Final Course Work (TCC) analyzes Emergency Remote Education (ERM) in rural schools in the municipality of Prata/MG during the COVID-19 pandemic, between 2020 and 2022. The research, of a documentary and bibliographic nature, investigates the emergency measures adopted by the Municipal Department of Education to guarantee the continuity of education in a pandemic context. The motivation for this study arises from personal experience, as a student from a rural school, in addition to the interest in valuing this teaching modality, often neglected by public policies, and the need to study this very controversial period in history. The research examines official documents made available by the Municipal Department of Prata, such as pedagogical projects and remote activities developed during the pandemic, in addition to academic articles that discuss the challenges faced by rural schools in Brazil. The results indicate that the main strategy adopted was the delivery of printed materials and the use of messaging applications for communication between teachers and students. However, the lack of adequate infrastructure and the difficulty of family participation were significant challenges. The research highlights the need for public policies that are better adapted to the reality of rural areas, ensuring technological support, specific teacher training and structural investments to minimize educational inequalities between students in urban and rural areas. This study reinforces the importance of valuing rural education and paves the way for future research on the impacts of distance learning on the learning of students in these communities.
