Habilidades e competências geométricas do professor de matemática da educação básica: Um estudo a partir da produção acadêmico-científica brasileira (2017-2019)

Abstract

The study of Geometry is important insofar as it subsidizes knowledge that will be necessary not only for the resolution of issues that are directly related to it, but also for the formation of argumentative and logical capacity - capacities that are required of individuals in their lives, in daily tasks. That is why the teaching of Geometry becomes so necessary in basic education, as a means of guaranteeing that the student exercises his role as a citizen.Therefore, this work seeks to investigate the contributions of the authors of the works published in the CAPES Database, from 2017 to 2019, in relation to the skills and competences necessary for the training of Mathematics teachers in the teaching of Geometry in the Basic Education segment . For the development of this research, we used the State of the Art Methodology in order to organize the data for analysis and be able to respond to the problem to be investigated. The Educational Product was prepared, structured as follows: in the first part, a didactic sequence, Conversation with the Mathematics Teacher, is presented, which seeks to allow the participant to perceive the theory and practice relationship of the thematic unit he teaches; at another time, a questionnaire was applied in order to record the participants' feedback on teacher training. It is concluded that government investment and the personal search for teacher training are essential for teaching to guarantee the development of skills and competencies so that teachers can deal with the various demands that arise.
