Os sentidos do viver a cultura como ruptura epistemológica

Abstract

This academic memoir aims to present my trajectory in teaching, research, and outreach in the field of knowledge to the Faculty of Education at the Federal University of Uberlândia, as a requirement for promotion from Associate Professor IV to Full Professor in the Higher Education Teaching Career. The proposal is to reveal how art and culture, articulated with the educational ecosystem of everyday knowledge, played a decisive role in the production of meaning in the epistemological path. The lived experiences narrated in this memoir intend to show that each path, each song, each poem, each dance, each book, each class was configured as a thesis. The chapters highlight the first contacts with knowledge as a teenager, address memory as reliving the everyday in the present time, the meanings of art and culture in the process of consciousness, share the immersion in dilemmas as a journalist and researcher, the links with outreach, the didactic teaching proposals, and a critical commentary unveiling the three research projects carried out as part of an academic project at UFU. More than a narrative, this memoir is a testament to someone who understood that the capacity to problematize reality lies in the same immersion as self-transformation. And that the subject, through reason and emotion, has the strength to confront the structure as an epistemology of life. For this, it becomes necessary to consider that before the act of resistance, there is the subject's living in the complex contradiction and translation of their senses of existence.
