Vínculos intergeracionais na arte: uma análise da obra As mais belas coisas do mundo, de Valter Hugo Mãe, sob a ótica da Psicologia histórico-cultural

Abstract

: This paper proposes an analysis of the work The Most Beautiful Things in the World, by Valter Hugo Mãe (2019), from the perspective of historical-cultural psychology, more specifically the Psychology of Art, as proposed by Vygotsky (1999). The main objective is to understand how literature can express and symbolize subjective and social experiences, with emphasis on the intergenerational relationship between grandfather and grandson. By addressing themes such as memory, affectivity, mourning, and the construction of values, the literary work is analyzed as an instrument of aesthetic mediation that can contribute to the formation of subjectivity. In this work, the figure of the grandfather stands out as an emotional and symbolic mediator, fostering the grandson’s development through affection, attentive listening, and reflective provocation. Thus, literature is presented as a potential for humanization, capable of reorganizing emotions, expanding senses, and producing transformative effects on the subject
