As atividades lúdicas no desenvolvimento cognitivo e social dos estudantes da educação infantil

Abstract

This article stems from bibliographic research, which had as its main objective, to analyze and describe the role that playful activities play in the cognitive and social development of education students. This study sought to provide answers to the following guiding question: What are the contributions of playful activities to the cognitive and social development of 4 and 5-year-old children? In view of the bibliographic research developed, it was found that playful activities have a primary role in the process of intellectual evolution of children in Early Childhood Education, since they help in the improvement of cognitive skills, in the development of memory, attention and logical reasoning. It also provides cooperation, respect for differences and acquisition of communication skills. The study also indicated that the Early Childhood Education teacher should be a mediator in the realization of playful activities, planning activities that are aligned with the interests of Early Childhood Education students to promote the effectiveness of meaningful learning.
