Summary:	O presente estudo visa discorrer acerca da temática de gênero e geração na etapa da Educação Infantil e suas possíveis decorrências nas representações de professoras. Utilizou-se como base a abordagem qualitativa apoiada nos estudos de gênero de inclinação pósestruturalista. Teve-se como objetivo geral problematizar como as representações de mulher podem afetar a construção do que é ser professora na Educação Infantil, investigando professoras, profissionais de apoio e graduandas de duas instituições da cidade de Uberlândia - MG, sendo uma escola da rede municipal de ensino e uma instituição de ensino superior. Participaram do estudo 19 servidoras públicas, entre professoras e profissionais de apoio, da rede municipal de ensino atuantes na etapa da Educação Infantil e 7 estudantes do curso de Pedagogia. A metodologia utilizada foi a de pesquisa de campo com aplicação de questionários e realização de entrevistas semiestruturadas, que foram, posteriormente, analisadas com inspiração na técnica metodológica da análise de conteúdo.
Abstract:	This study discussed the thematic of gender and generation in the childhood education stage and its possible consequences when it comes to the representation of teachers. It is used as base of this research the qualitative perspective supported by gender studies of poststructuralist inclination. The general objective was to problematize how the representation of women can affect the construction of what it means to be a teacher in the childhood education system, investigating teachers, support teachers and undergraduates of two institutions in the city of Uberlândia - MG, one of which is a municipal school, and the other a higher education institution (university). The study included 19 public workers in between childhood education teachers and support teachers from the municipal school, and 7 Pedagogy undergraduate students. The methodology used was field research with the application of questionnaires and semi-structured interviews, which were later analyzed inspired according to the methodological technique of content analysis
