Summary:	Este estudo analisa a interação entre eventos climáticos extremos e migrações internas no Brasil, destacando a influência de fenômenos como secas e inundações nos padrões migratórios. Utilizando dados secundários do Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE) e do Painel Intergovernamental sobre Mudança do Clima (IPCC), o artigo identifica um aumento na frequência e intensidade desses eventos, exacerbando as vulnerabilidades socioeconômicas e pressionando infraestruturas em áreas urbanas e rurais. As regiões mais impactadas incluem o Nordeste, com secas prolongadas, e a Amazônia, com frequentes inundações, impulsionando a migração para centros urbanos. O estudo conclui que é essencial desenvolver políticas públicas integradas que abordem essas dinâmicas de migração e promovam o desenvolvimento sustentável.
Abstract:	This study analyzes the interaction between extreme climatic events and internal migrations in Brazil, highlighting the influence of phenomena such as droughts and floods on migration patterns. Using secondary data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the article identifies an increase in the frequency and intensity of these events, exacerbating socioeconomic vulnerabilities and putting pressure on infrastructures in urban and rural areas. The most affected regions include the Northeast, with prolonged droughts, and the Amazon, with frequent floods, driving migration to urban centers. The study concludes that it is essential to develop integrated public policies that address these migration dynamics and promote sustainable development.
