Atuação do serviço social frente ao programa de entrega legal: um relato de experiência no setor materno-infantil do HC-UFU

Abstract

The Multiprofessional Residency in Health offered by the Federal University of Uberlândia – UFU promotes education and training in health services. The present work is the result of bringing Social Work closer to professional health practices. This report is based on a field observation related to continuing education and theoretical foundations, reflecting on a case treated in the Maternal/Infant – Rooming-in and Neonatal sector of the Hospital de Clínicas of the Federal University of Uberlândia (HC-UFU) in under the Unified Health System (SUS); where the Legal Delivery of a child to the State was witnessed. The maternity and neonatology units contemplate the field of Child Health Care, one of the professional practice programs of the multiprofessional residency at UFU, becoming a very rich environment for continuous training, with interdisciplinary and multiprofessional action. This work aims to describe the experience of a social worker residing in an integral service who experienced the practice of the Legal Delivery program governed by the Court of Justice of Minas Gerais (TJMG) according to Law 13.509/17.Thus, this study becomes opportune, in the sense of contributing to the report of the interlocution between pregnant women or mothers, hospital staff and the Childhood and Youth Court, in which it highlights the importance of the attribution of the social worker in the intervention and effectiveness of the legitimacy process of the rights of women and children.
