A influência da via de parto na amamentação na golden hour: revisão integrativa

Abstract

Introduction: Pregnancy is a unique experience in the life of the family and especially for the woman who is experiencing this process that involves different feelings and stages, among them the choice of delivery method. Objective: To verify if there is a correlation between the mode of delivery and breastfeeding at Golden Hour. Method: This is an integrative review (IR) study of the literature, which aims to identify and analyze the existing scientific evidence about the mode of delivery and its influence on breastfeeding in the first hour of life, since the research question was: “does the mode of delivery influence breastfeeding in the first hour of life?”. Results: The review sample consisted of thirteen scientific articles, and most of the studies were written by nurses, also containing professionals from the areas of medicine, physiotherapy and psychology. Most investigations were carried out in a hospital environment using the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative, launched between 1991 and 1992 by Unicef and the World Health Organization. The country with the largest publication on the subject was Brazil, followed by Turkey, Bangladesh, Singapore, Italy and the United States. Conclusion: The influence of the mode of delivery on breastfeeding at Golden Hour was noticeable.
