Estruturação e mapeamento dos processos necessários para a certificação do ensaio de fadiga de uma aeronave comercial

Abstract

The full scale fatigue test of an aircraft is one of the requirements for certifying that the structure is capable of withstanding the repeated loads of varying magnitude expected in service, as well as identifying possible damage and failures from the most diverse sources. The structuring of the certification campaign of a structural test is one of the main tasks of the engineer responsible for the certification test, since he works by creating campaign planning strategies and ensuring the interfaces and synergies between the teams involved, as well as organizing the information, projects and advances, in order to constantly progress and execute the campaign in the shortest possible time. This work carries out a study to identify the main stages of the fatigue test certification campaign of a commercial aircraft, such as the structuring and mapping of the processes necessary for its execution, ensuring compliance with the applicable requirements. The study is based on civil aviation regulations and certification booklets prepared by aeronautical authorities, also taking into account all lessons learned throughout history. Based on the research carried out, each of the processes necessary to carry out a test with such magnitude and complexity is understood. In addition, with the elaboration of this project, the necessary processes to carry out a fatigue test of a commercial aircraft were described and organized, in an applicable order, characterizing the steps, from planning to execution of the processes necessary for the certification of the structure. With this, one can see the importance of this test for the development, certification and operation of the aircraft, as well as the importance of the present work for the clarification of the necessary certification process.
