Summary:	Neste memorial narro as atividades de minha carreira acadêmica, desde o curso de Graduação em Engenharia Civil até o presente momento. Este memorial é apresentado à Faculdade de Engenharia Civil como requisito para a promoção da Classe de Professor Associado IV para a Classe de Professor Titular da Carreira do Magistério Superior. No memorial descrevo a minha formação acadêmica, as atividades de ensino, de orientação, de pesquisa, de gestão e demais atividades que fizeram parte de minha carreira como professor. Juntamente com a descrição de tais atividades, faço comentários de minhas impressões, destacando o que foi marcante para a minha carreira. Também relato as atividades que estão em andamento e os projetos futuros. Nas considerações finais deste memorial, faço uma reflexão de minha carreira, incluindo não somente as boas realizações, mas também as dificuldades e desafios que enfrentei como professor.
Abstract:	In this memoir I narrate the activities of my academic career, from the undergraduate course in Civil Engineering to the present day. This memorial is presented to the Faculty of Civil Engineering as a requirement for the promotion from Associate Professor Class IV to the Class of Full Professor of the Higher Teaching Career. In the memorial I describe my academic background, teaching activities, guidance, research, management and other activities that were part of my career as a teacher. Along with the description of such activities, I comment on my impressions, highlighting what was remarkable for my career. I also report on ongoing activities and future projects. In the final remarks of this memorial, I reflect on my career, including not only the good achievements, but also the difficulties and challenges I faced as a teacher.
