Memorial descritivo: promoção à classe de Professor Titular

Abstract

In this memoir I narrate the activities of my academic career, from the undergraduate course in Civil Engineering to the present day. This memorial is presented to the Faculty of Civil Engineering as a requirement for the promotion from Associate Professor Class IV to the Class of Full Professor of the Higher Teaching Career. In the memorial I describe my academic background, teaching activities, guidance, research, management and other activities that were part of my career as a teacher. Along with the description of such activities, I comment on my impressions, highlighting what was remarkable for my career. I also report on ongoing activities and future projects. In the final remarks of this memorial, I reflect on my career, including not only the good achievements, but also the difficulties and challenges I faced as a teacher.
