Work-life balance e contabilidade: uma revisão bibliográfica (2012-2021)

Abstract

Considering the relevance of better understanding the relationship between work, study, family and personal life of the accounting professional, one of the topics that deserves greater knowledge is the Work-life Balance, which brings discussion about the integration between the different domains work and family. The main goal of this study was to analyze the profile of Brazilian research in the last ten years on Work-life Balance and professionals (both active and students) in the accounting area. The research is classified as descriptive, qualitative and bibliographical, and it was conducted considering the databases Scientific Electronic Library Online Brazil - Scielo, Scientific Periodicals Electronic Library - SPELL, Portal of Periodicals of CAPES and Google Scholar. After filtering the data collection, twenty articles were identified within the scope of the research. The results show that the main publications were journal articles, the period with the highest incidence being from 2018 to 2020. The main approaches identified in the studies were: Work and family integration x Conflict management (25%); Balance between professional and personal life x Teaching (20%) and Quality of life at work (20%). Among the research subjects, the main ones were accounting professionals working in the job market. Finally, it considers that the study contributes to a greater visibility of the Brazilian scenario in the accounting area on the Work-life balance, but of the reflexes that only by maintaining the balance between work and family, it is possible to obtain a higher quality of work. life, minimizing the conflicts existing in the daily practice of the accounting professional.
