Pardo, um mestiço sem identidade: da cor de pele ao papel de descarte

Abstract

This research in the arts addresses the relationship between “pardos”, the classification term for skin color used by the demographic census and the type of cheap paper used for packaging. She is divided into two parts: (I) contextualizes Brazilian miscegenation by establishing a dialogue with national contemporary art and, problematizes the white versus black paradigm and the non-place of mestizos; (II) presents a reflection about my creative process when building a work with different roles that resemble skin tones and proposes an affective perspective for the mix through family memories and stories.
