A adolescência e suas interações nas redes sociais: o corpo e o mal-estar na contemporaneidade

Abstract

The present work aims to develop a theoretical study, supported by the psychoanalytic method, which seeks to understand adolescence and interactions in social networks. Specially, it is interested in understanding the exposure of the body of adolescent girls and the production of malaise. To help elucidate the theory, news about teenagers and posts made on Instagram on profiles of famous teenagers were used. With the help of the theoretical framework, it was possible to understand that nowadays, the teenager deals with the emptying of the Other and the internet becomes a privileged place for the search for knowledge. In it, the young man is captured by the capitalist discourse and invited to share his intimacy on social networks. On these platforms, the exposure of the body is a common phenomenon, which is permeated by narcissistic, marketing issues and related to the culture of pedophilia. Furthermore, malaise is also a prominent aspect of adolescents' use of social networks and seems to come from separation from the Other. To respond to this malaise, the young person resorts, among other options, to the acting out and the passage to the act, adopting different positions in front of this emptied Other. In view of these reflections, some provocations are made and suggested possible paths for future studies, which aim to critically question the modes of consumption and virtual subjectivation and, mainly, the subjective issues of adolescents in contemporary times.
