| Summary: | A Astronomia é um dos objetos de estudo mais antigos, pois sempre foi fonte de curiosidade do ser humano ao olhar para o céu e tentar entender o que existe nele. Mesmo sendo uma ciência antiga, o seu ensino está estagnado no tempo, e isso é perceptível em diversos trabalhos aqui apresentados, nos quais a quantidade de alunos que não conseguem explicar corretamente alguns pontos do Sistema Solar e até mesmo sobre como Universo é grande. Nesse trabalho, desenvolvido com alunos do Ensino Médio, nota-se que apenas 6% deles sabem da existência do cinturão de asteroides que tem no Sistema Solar, 36% colocaram os planetas alinhados, como se esse sistema fosse plano. Quando se trata de colocar em ordem uma sequência de objetos e elementos do Universo, 79,3% dos alunos atingiram a sequência correta da organização, mas quando se trata de analisar as proporções e compará-las com outros elementos que estejam mais próximos da nossa percepção, a quantidade de acertos foi de 38,2%. Na abordagem final do questionário aqui aplicado, sobre a representação do universo, fica perceptível que a maioria dos resultados colocam o Sol em alguma posição de destaque na representação, o que vai contra a compreensão atual sobre como o universo está distribuído. |
| Abstract: | Astronomy is one of the oldest objects of study, it has always been a source of curiosity when looking at the sky and trying to understand what is there. Even though it is an ancient science, its teaching is stagnant in time, and this is noticed in several works presented here, which the number of students who cannot correctly explain some points of the Solar System and even about the Universe is large. In this work developed with high school students, only 6% of students are aware of the existence of the asteroid belt in the Solar System, 36% placed the planets aligned, as if this system were flat. When it comes to putting in order a sequence of objects and elements of the Universe, 79.3% of the students got the correct sequence of organization, but when it comes to analyzing the proportions and comparing them with other elements, which are closer of our perception, the number of correct answers was 38.2%. In the final approach of the questionnaire applied here, regarding the representation of the universe, it is noticeable that most results place the Sun in some prominent position in the representation, which goes against the current understanding of how the universe is distributed. |
