Trajetória geográfica: memórias e narrativas

Abstract

This Descriptive Memorial aims to meet Resolutions No. 3/2017 and SEI No. 05/2018 of the Council Director of the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), which standardize the evaluation for the promotion to Class E - Titular Professor of the Career of the Federal Superior Magisterium. Throughout this, initially, I present my family background and mainly the activities developed in the professional career, from basic to academic formation, carried out in the state of Paraná, São Paulo, and Sergipe. Following, I expose my trajectory at the Institute of Geography (IG) in the Federal University of Uberlândia where, for 19 years (from 2002-2021) I have been working in Teaching, Researching, Extension and Management activities. As a teacher at IG, I highlight my dedication to Teach and Research, which provided a wide and diversified academic and intellectual production, supported by the commitment to education and the formation of professional geographers (Licentiate’s and Bachelor’s degree). This production is the result of the permanent commitment to student guidance, at the graduation and post-graduation levels; of projects carried out with the country's development agencies; and participation in others developed in important partnerships, with colleagues from IG and from others IFES, nationally and internationally. This unique experience, based on contact with other geographer colleagues and researchers’ networks, has been relevant in the conduct of my academic life and in the expansion and strengthening of living in society. Finally, I evaluate this trajectory carried out in this public Higher Education Institution, reiterating my dedication and passion for teaching.
