Projeto estrutural de uma edificação de uso misto na Favela do Boqueirão em São Paulo

Abstract

The structural system consisting of reinforced concrete slabs, beams and columns is commonly used for small buildings in the country. To guarantee the safety and stability of the structure, these elements need to be designed considering the most unfavorable conditions within the possible load cases likely to occur over the life span of the building. In addition, the characteristic strengths of the materials are reduced and the stresses corresponding to the loads are increased during the design process. Currently, ABNT NBR 6118: 2014 is the Brazilian standard that regulates the design and execution of concrete structures. Within this context, this paper aims to develop a structural project for a mixed-use building in the Favela do Boqueirão, in the city of São Paulo, which will include: an entrepreneurship project, a social and educational project for local children and adolescents and a residential area. Based on the architectural conditions, the initial structural design was carried out, defining the allocation and initial geometric characteristics of the elements. To aid the design and detailing process, the computational tool CAD TQS was used, respecting the procedures and determinations laid down in the norm. Finally, after the analysis process and some changes were made regarding the initial draft, the final design and detailing of the building structure was obtained, containing the plans for construction, the dimensions, the details and the arrangement of the steel bars of each element. As a result, it was possible to contribute to the safety and structural integrity of the building in question.
