| Summary: | Novos temas surgiram com a globalização e a interdependência global, que impossibilitaram o Estado nacional de atuar com eficiência em todas as áreas da sociedade. Assim, os atores subnacionais (governamentais ou não-governamentais) tornam-se mais ativos e assumem um papel de maior relevância política. As cidades, com sua capacidade de ação e influência local, passam a ter maior autonomia e a buscarem sua inserção internacional para permanecerem competitivas e atrair investimentos. Esses atores subnacionais também lidam com questões sociais e transnacionais, como a implementação dos Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS). Nesse sentido, pretendo analisar como a Prefeitura de Uberlândia vem implementando os Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável da ONU (Organização das Nações Unidas) em seus programas e projetos municipais, e como o grau de implementação e sua perspectiva futura se relacionam à preocupação e busca pela internacionalização da cidade. O estudo de caso será analisado sob os conceitos de Governança Multinível e Internacionalização de Cidades. |
| Abstract: | New themes emerged with globalization and global interdependence which made it impossible for the national state to act effectively in all areas of society. Thus, subnational actors (governmental or non-governmental) become more active and assume a role of greater political relevance. Cities, due to their capacity for action and local influence, now have greater autonomy and seek their international insertion to remain competitive and attract investment. These subnational actors also deal with social and transnational issues, such as the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). In this sense, we intend to analyze how the Municipality of Uberlândia has been implementing the UN Sustainable Development Goals in its municipal programs and projects, and how the degree of implementation and its future perspective relate to the concern and search for the internationalization of the city. The case study will be analyzed under the concepts of Multilevel Governance and Internationalization of Cities. |
