Impacto do sofrimento existencial na dinâmica familiar brasileira

Abstract

After the transformations engendered by the Psychiatric Reform in the care offered to people with mental disorders, there was their reinsertion into society and the inclusion of the family into the treatment. This research aims to find out how the scientific literature contributes to the impact of psychological distress of a relative on the Brazilian family dynamics and relationships. As a guiding question we point out: "Is there evidence in the national literature that the existential suffering of a family member can impact on the relationships between other members?". This is an integrative literature review, searching the LILACS and PePSIC databases. The reflection about the impacts of mental illness on family members and family group experience is necessary to understand what the scientific literature brings from publications on the subject that will allow understanding of the common conflicts and stress of this reality. The expansion of services and the implementation of local care can help with the treatment of people with mental disorders and ease the burden caused by the emergence of mental illness in family dynamics, since care is now shared in a health network.
