Abstract

Public Health in Brazil is a theme often addressed in society, which opens discussions in various areas of knowledge. The following work makes a historical rescue of how SUS public policy took place. And aims to diagnose the Basic Health Units of the municipality of Ituiutaba / MG during the course of work will be able to know about the care, physical structure and location of the PSFs of the municipality, as specific objectives, sought to make a historical survey of the creation of public health policies, specifically from SUS, pointing out the importance of the inversion of the new health model currently in force throughout the national territory; Furthermore, characterize the operating conditions and uses of the Basic Health Units in the city. The justification for the work is based on the importance of understanding how the public health policy of SUS and the specificities of the Family Health Program took place and its importance to the population. For the construction of the work, we sought general information on the historical consequences of the Brazilian health, and on the situation prior to SUS, information on how was the care and provision of health service in the country, until we reach this public policy. Thus, its methodology starts from the general study of SUS public health policies and the PSF program, followed by the application of an interview script, which made it possible to obtain information about the location, care, human resources and physical structure of the units. , script is attached at the end, photographic records, which allowed a greater observation, and the comparison of what exists in the Ituiutaba PSF units and what the Ministry of Health proposes.
