| Summary: | Esta dissertação propõe a reflexão sobre o estilo cênico de Charles Chaplin a partir da sua obra cinematográfica Tempos Modernos (1936). Nela, o ator, inserido no seu tempo, expõe a inadaptabilidade do seu personagem Carlitos ao ritmo de trabalho ditado pelas máquinas dentro da narrativa da película. Para tanto, aborda-se a composição do personagem vagabundo e suas características teatrais recriadas para o cinema, observando a linguagem estética a partir do gênero commedia dell’arte, frente aos desafios impostos a sociedade moderna a partir do processo que desencadeou na Revolução Industrial. |
| Abstract: | This paper intends to propose a reflexion on the scenic style of Charles Chaplin from his the cinematographic work Modern Times (1936). In it, the actor in its time, exposes the lack of ability of its character Carlitos to the work rythym dictated by the machines in the play. For so, the approach towards the complex creation of the character as tramp and its theatrical characteristics recreated for the play, observing the esthetical language from the genre “commedia dell’arte” facing the challenges of the modern society and the process which unrevealed the Industrial Revolution. |
