Interdiscursividade e subjetividade em Mônica de Maurício de Sousa

Abstract

This thesis entitled "Interdiscursivity and subjectivity in Mauricio de Sousa‟s Mônica aims to analyze, according to the French AD, the character‟s sayings in three Comics, namely: “...Origem de Mônica!”, “Quer namorar comigo?” e “O casamento do século”, and thus verify what are the discursive inscriptions and in which instances the subject-character inscribed herself in each phase of her life (child, teen and an married adult) and what are the events linked to those entries that reflect the different Mônica‟s ideological inscriptions. Furthermore, we examined interdiscursivity which it is working in three stages, in other words, in the transformation process as she grows up. Our hypothesis is that the positioning that the character has as a child remains when she becomes an adult, showing another generation of women's discursive universe. Then, we also analyze the linguistic materiality to know Mônica‟s ideological positions when she reaches maturity, because we want to understand everything about Mônica‟s ideological positions as an adult. Furthermore, we analyze sayings of Cebolinha in three Comic Books, as this also helps us to understand the constituition of Monica as a subject from the enunciation image he has about her. So, to do the research, we use notions like interdiscursivity, discursive memory, notion of subject according to Pêcheux and an extension of this notion proposed by Santos (2009), besides other notions that are also part of the discourse theory.
