Torre das sobreviventes: ensinar história da Ditadura Civil-Militar por meio da literatura

Abstract

This undergraduate thesis aims to analyze the remembrance processes of violence against female political prisoners during Brazil's Civil-Military Dictatorship (1964-1985), examining the ways in which these memories are constructed and articulated. The research adopts as its methodological perspective the analysis of documentary techniques and the identification of memory accounts, considering the often fragmented and lacunary nature of these women's recollections. The documentary corpus of this investigation consists of the documentary "Torre das Donzelas" (2018), directed by Susanna Lira, and the IPM CRUSP Report, sources that enable the understanding of different perspectives on violence: the testimonies of political prisoners, on one hand, and the official records of repressive agents, on the other. Based on the dialogue established with these primary sources and the specialized literature on the subject, this study proposes the development of a didactic literary work aimed at students in the final years of elementary school and high school, seeking to facilitate historical understanding of this period. The relevance of this research lies in the articulation between memory, dictatorship, and gender, with emphasis on the trajectories of female university students, establishing meaningful connections with the contemporary educational context and contributing to students' critical formation regarding this chapter of Brazilian history
