| Summary: | Este trabalho tem por objetivo analisar como constituiu-se a história do futebol de cegos no Brasil, identificando as dificuldades, os avanços e os desafios enfrentados pelos gestores, ex-atletas e técnicos. Trata-se de um estudo de campo de cunho histórico, fundamentado na História Oral Temática. Foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas com três protagonistas da modalidade, incluindo gestores, técnico e ex-atletas, para registrar suas memórias e experiências sobre a trajetória do esporte. Os resultados indicam que a modalidade surgiu de forma lúdica em instituições especializadas, evoluindo para o alto rendimento com marcos como a inclusão paralímpica (2004) e o programa Bolsa Atleta. Apesar da profissionalização e da hegemonia brasileira, persistem desafios relacionados à infraestrutura de base e ao financiamento. Conclui-se que a trajetória do futebol de cegos no Brasil representa um importante movimento de inclusão social. O esporte consolidou-se como ferramenta de empoderamento e cidadania e seu fortalecimento futuro depende de políticas públicas voltadas ao esporte de base. |
| Abstract: | : This study aims to analyze the history of blind football in Brazil, identifying the difficulties, advances, and challenges faced by managers, former athletes, and coaches. It is a historical field study based on thematic oral history. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with three key figures in the sport, including managers, a coach, and former athletes, to record their memories and experiences regarding the sport's trajectory. The results indicate that the sport emerged playfully in specialized institutions, evolving towards high performance with milestones such as Paralympic inclusion (2004) and the Athlete Scholarship program. Despite professionalization and Brazilian hegemony, challenges related to basic infrastructure and funding persist. It is concluded that the trajectory of blind football in Brazil represents an important movement of social inclusion. The sport has consolidated itself as a tool for empowerment and citizenship, and its future strengthening depends on public policies focused on grassroots sports. |
