Crescer mulher: investigação poética sobre a experiência feminina da memória, identidade, heranças e construção do eu através da prática artística

Abstract

The present study investigates, from a poetic perspective, how contemporary women artists transform their lived experiences and feminine inheritances into artistic productions. The study analyzes how these investigations dialogue with the author’s own research on the relationships between identity, memory, visual poetics, and the construction of the self in artistic practice, as well as the recurrent use of the color red in these productions. The research articulates theoretical reflection and artistic practice, emerging from the experience of growing up as a woman and from the process of mourning the loss of three important female figures. The work establishes a dialogue with artists and authors who discuss memory, body, identity, and female ancestry. As a result of the investigative process, the author produces works in different media, presented in the solo exhibition “Crescer Mulher”, held in 2025.
