Desenho e construção: memorial para Professor Titular, 2001-2026

Abstract

This memoir presents my teaching career at the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU). It covers a period from 2001 to 2026. Through this memoir, I describe and analyze a significant portion of the teaching activities I have developed over almost 25 years at UFU. These teaching activities are grouped into four areas of action: teaching, research, outreach, and management. As an introduction and contextualization, prior to the main text, I present the path that led me to choose architecture and design as my field of study and, later, as my professional field as a university professor. The conclusion presents part of the understanding I have built, throughout my teaching career, about what design and architecture are and what they can be, and about a path to teach them. The purpose of this report is to fulfill part of the requirements for promotion from Associate Professor IV to Full Professor in the Higher Education Teaching Career, in accordance with MEC Ordinance No. 982, of October 3, 2013, regulated by Resolution No. 3/2017 of the Governing Council of the Federal University of Uberlândia, of June 9, 2017. Its preparation followed the guidelines in Annex 5, Guidelines for Report Preparation, of Resolution No. 03/2017 of the Governing Council, of June 9, 2017.
