A influência da assistência educativa perinatal no protagonismo feminino e na humanização do nascimento: uma revisão integrativa

Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To analyze the scientific evidence available in the literature regarding the influence of perinatal educational care on female empowerment and the humanization of childbirth, and to investigate the issues related to non-interventionist birth care that respects the wishes of the birthing woman. METHODS: This is an integrative literature review with a temporal scope from 2020 to 2025, carried out in the PubMed, SciELO and Cochrane Library databases, using controlled descriptors obtained from the Health Sciences Descriptors (DeCS): “Health Education”, “Pregnancy”, “Humanizing Delivery” and “Labor”, combined with the Boolean operators “AND” and “OR”. Full-text articles available free of charge were included, while systematic and integrative reviews, duplicate studies, editorials and publications that did not fall within the intended scope were excluded. The stages of identification, selection, data extraction and analysis followed the methodological rigor recommended for integrative reviews.RESULTADOS: To be part of this review, a total of 5,223 were selected, where – at the end – 11 were chosen to be included in the study.FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: The findings of this integrative review show that health education during prenatal care and pregnancy is a key element for the development of more satisfying, informed, and humane childbirth experiences.
