A técnica fingerpicking do guitarrista André Nieri: o que é e como desenvolvê-la

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the fingerpicking technique of guitarist André Nieri, analyzing its application as a resource for technical and expressive development on the electric guitar. To this end, a literature review was conducted on the history and teaching of the guitar in Brazil, as well as a discussion of the concepts of technique, pure technique, applied technique, and fingerpicking. Subsequently, the research proceeded with the analysis of the Finger Revolutioncourse, taught by the guitarist himself, which covers fundamental exercises through to the practical application of the technique in musical phrases. The practical experience consisted of the systematic execution of the exercises and phrases proposed in the course, allowing observation of the gradual process of assimilation and development of the technique.
