Memorial descritivo-reflexivo: tecendo fios entre atuação/formação de uma professora/pesquisadora no campo da educação musical

Abstract

This descriptive-reflective memorial weaves together threads from my educational background and professional career at the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU). It describes how I developed and established myself as a teacher and researcher in the field of music education. The Memorial is one of the requirements for promotion to Full Professor in the Higher Education Teaching Career at UFU. It is organized into six parts: in the first, I provide an introduction; in the second, I describe my general academic and musical education; in the third, I discuss how I became a music teacher and professor at UFU in undergraduate and graduate (master's) programs; in the fourth, I describe my development as a researcher and professor/research advisor; in the sixth, I substantiate my work as a researcher in the field of music education; and, finally, I offer my final thoughts on my process and work as a professor at the Federal University of Uberlândia. This process involved not only (re)constructing and (re)visiting my teaching/research experience in the various paths I have taken, but also enabled me to (re)connect with teachers from my childhood, colleagues, students, as well as (re)visit pedagogical actions, bibliographic productions, and moments that were “loose” in the flow of academic life over the years.
