| Summary: | Este trabalho investiga em que medida as diretrizes do Plano “Nova Indústria Brasil” (NIB) convergem com as estratégias propostas pela CEPAL para o fortalecimento da indústria latino-americana, com base em relatórios e documentos da instituição a partir de 2020. Inicialmente, o estudo apresenta as principais propostas estratégicas da CEPAL para a aceleração do crescimento econômico sustentável e a transformação da estrutura produtiva na América Latina e Caribe. Em seguida, dedica-se a analisar a experiência brasileira de desenvolvimento produtivo, destacando as transformações históricas da industrialização no país, seus desafios estruturais — como a baixa difusão tecnológica, a desigualdade e a heterogeneidade produtiva — e o papel das agendas da CEPAL nesse diagnóstico. Por fim, a pesquisa aprofunda-se nos objetivos e metas definidos pelo NIB, avaliando como o plano impulsiona uma neoindustrialização no Brasil e identificar convergências da NIB alinhados à agenda contemporânea da CEPAL para a mudança estrutural produtiva. A presente pesquisa adota o método qualitativo, devido a necessidade de uma análise interpretativa e profunda. |
| Abstract: | This study examines the extent to which the guidelines of the “Nova Indústria Brasil” (NIB)plan converge with the strategies proposed by ECLAC for strengthening Latin American industry, based on reports and documents published by the institution since 2020. Initially, the study presents ECLAC's main strategic proposals for accelerating sustainable economic growth and transforming the productive structure in Latin America and the Caribbean. It then analyzes Brazil's experience with productive development, highlighting the historical transformations of industrialization in the country, its structural challenges—such as low technological diffusion, inequality, and productive heterogeneity—and the role of ECLAC's agendas in this diagnosis. Finally, the research delves into the objectives and goals defined by the NIB, assessing how the plan drives neo-industrialization in Brazil and identifying convergences between the NIB and ECLAC's contemporary agenda for structural productive change.
