| Summary: | Objective: To evaluate the marginal adaptation of lithium disilicate single-tooth crowns fabricated using the digital CAD/CAM technique with different cementation materials. Methods: Twenty standardized composite resin models were 3D-printed with full crown preparations. The models were scanned using the Omnicam intraoral scanner, and the crowns were digitally designed and milled from lithium disilicate. The restorations were divided into four groups (n = 10) based on the cementation material: dual-cure resin cement NX3 (CR), Filtek Z100 (FZ), Estelite Omega (EO), and Gradia Direct (GD). All crowns were scanned using micro-computed tomography both before and after cementation, with 52 marginal measurements taken per image to assess the marginal fit. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Tukey’s post hoc test (α = 0.05).Results: The mean marginal discrepancy values before cementation were: CR – 47.1 ± 7.0 μm; FZ – 25.3 ± 3.4 μm; EO – 50.5 ± 10.0 μm; GD – 48.7 ± 10.7 μm. After cementation, the values were: CR – 72.5 ± 20.1 μm; FZ – 68.3 ± 21.7 μm; EO – 156.0 ± 29.5 μm; GD – 162.2 ± 70.8 μm. No statistically significant difference was observed between the CR and FZ groups (p > 0.05). Conclusion: Cementation has a significant impact on the marginal adaptation of single crowns. The choice of cementation material is a critical factor, with superior performance noted in the CR and FZ groups |
