Abstract

This undergraduate thesis proposes a poetic and performative investigation that interweaves theater and dance through the development of the performance “I Will Dance What You Feel.” Its objective is to understand how the body can become an expressive channel of listening and response to the emotions of others, based on scenic creation rooted in structured improvisations and performative keys. The methodological path begins with the observation of everyday gestures in diverse social contexts such as bus stations, hospitals, streets, and celebrations, where emotions like love, fear, regret, happiness, anxiety, fragility, and death were identified and transformed into movement scores. The research unfolds in a practical and sensitive way, incorporating the author’s personal experiences and theoretical references on performance, presence, body, and artistic creation. It also draws on experiences from the PIBID and PIBIC programs, which contributed to the development of body sequences and connections between performer and spectator. As a result, the body asserts itself as a territory of affections, listening, and collective creation, capable of moving between the technical and the instinctive, the planned and the spontaneous. The conclusion highlights the power of performative art as a tool for sensitive communication, where the performer opens themselves to the other and to the world, also recognizing their own vulnerabilities. The work contributes to pedagogical and artistic practices that see the body as a space for transformation, presence, and relation.
