Mulheres em situação de violência: um mapeamento de perfil

Abstract

This article presents a bibliographic review defined in the first phase of the Scientific Initiation project, extension research entitled "Profile of women victims of domestic violence treated at CREAS in Ituiutaba-MG", funded by FAPEMIG. In this phase, selected articles published between 2016 and 2022 were analyzed, focusing on profile variables such as education, age, marital status, type of violence, race/color, presence of children and victim/aggressor relationship. The objective was to provide a comparative basis with the field research of the Specialized Reference Center for Social Assistance (CREAS), establishing similarities between the data. Domestic violence, a global phenomenon that cuts across social class, ethnicity and age, is often committed by perpetrators close to the victims, such as partners and family members. Identifying the profile of affected women is crucial to developing effective public policies and preventive actions. The bibliographic survey on a national scale showed great similarity with the profile of the empirical data from CREAS.
