| Summary: | A partir da obra literária As intermitências da morte, de autoria de José Saramago, pretende-se discutir neste trabalho como se dá a produção de significados e sentidos sobre a morte na relação indivíduo e sociedade, entendendo que esses dois elementos mantêm uma relação de dupla constituição, em que mutuamente se produzem. O referencial teórico-metodológico utilizado para a análise dessa obra literária é a Psicologia Histórico-Cultural, especialmente os estudos de Vigotski em Psicologia da Arte. Um dos conceitos principais discutidos por Vigotski é a catarse, que consiste em uma manifestação emocional desencadeada por contradições presentes na obra artística e que pode orientar a ressignificação e a reorganização do sujeito. Diante de um tema tão sensível em nosso contexto histórico-cultural como a morte, entende-se que a Arte, através de suas contradições, pode ampliar os sentidos e as possibilidades de elaborações psíquicas sobre a finitude da existência humana e suas várias interfaces. |
| Abstract: | Based on the literary work "As intermitências da morte" by author José Saramago (2020), this paper aims to discuss how the production of meanings and senses about death occurs in the individual-society relationship, understanding that these two elements maintain a relationship of dual constitution, mutually producing each other. The theoretical-methodological framework used for the analysis of this literary work is Historical-Cultural Psychology, especially Vigotski's studies in Psychology of Art (1925/1999). One of the main concepts discussed by Vigotski is catharsis, which consists of an emotional outburst triggered by contradictions present in the artistic work and which can guide the re-signification and reorganization of the subject. Faced with such a sensitive topic in our historical-cultural context as death, it is understood that art, through its contradictions, can broaden the senses and possibilities of psychic elaborations on the finitude of human existence and its various interfaces. |
