Do expresso à arte: projeto de interiores de uma cafeteria multifuncional

Abstract

According to Embrapa (Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária), coffee is the second most consumed beverage in Brazil, second only to water. Based on these data and a thorough analysis of coffee cultivation in national lands, it is possible to conclude that coffee is intrinsic to Brazilian culture. In light of this, the project explores the opportunity to unite a space that encompasses a customary activity of Brazilians, the coffee shop, with handicraft courses, workshops, discussions, art exhibitions, musical performances, and other activities that promote culture, value local artists, and simplify access to knowledge. Furthermore, the space has been designed using contemporary design strategies such as the integration of multifunctional spaces, sensory design, and biophilic design to engage the public, generate interest, and provide a comfortable, cozy, and functional environment.
