| Summary: | O presente artigo científico visa analisar os conceitos de Democracia e Autoritarismo, utilizando da série de filmes Star Wars (em particular a primeira trilogia) para relacionar as características do desmantelamento de um regime democrático e a ascensão de um regime autoritário, com o fim da República Intergaláctica e a ascensão do Império e suas sutilezas. De forma que busca utilizar da relação entre a arte e a ficção como distanciamento lúdico que facilita a crítica e a análise da realidade concreta. |
| Abstract: | The present scientific article aims to analyze the concepts of Democracy and Authoritarianism, using the Star Wars film series (particularly the first trilogy) to relate the characteristics of the dismantling of a democratic regime and the rise of an authoritarian regime, with the fall of the Intergalactic Republic and the rise of the Empire and its subtleties. It seeks to utilize the connection between art and fiction as a ludic distancing that facilitates criticism and analysis of concrete reality. |
