Influência do método canguru para estabelecimento de vínculo entre mãe e recém-nascido pré-termo

Abstract

Objective: To understand the influence of the Kangaroo Mother Care (MC) on the Care for establishing bond between mother and pre-term newborn . Method: This is a literature review, carried out in the following databases: MEDLINE, SciELO, Scopus, CINAHL, Science Direct and Web of Science, using the descriptors: Kangaroo Mother Care, “Mother-child relations and infant, premature; and in Portuguese: Kangaroo Care, and Pre- Term Newborn, with Boolean operator AND. Based on the inclusion criteria, with articles published between the years 2000 and 2023, bringing together eight studies. Results: The articles were displayed in a table, containing: Presentation of the articles' characteristics; Outcomes related to the establishment of maternal-infant bonding of the newborn regarding MC. The consolidation of a support network is one of the main results of this study, as it is the foundation for the bond that will be formed during hospitalization. Thus, assuming that the MC brings together knowledge and care from professionals and family members, it is important that the literature is even more robust and strengthened on the topic. In this way, the active participation of parents in the MC stages is indicated, with the aim of bringing benefits to the preterm newborn.
