O Flag Football como tema nas aulas de Educação Física escolar

Abstract

Considering new possibilities of approaching sport at school, in this study, we will present Flag football, which is characterized as an invasion sport and a modality considered non-traditional, as a possible topic to be worked on at school. Flag football is a version created by American football players to adapt children to the sport, which is extremely relevant in the United States. This research referred to an approach to school Physical Education classes at the School of Basic Education (ESEBA/UFU) in the city of Uberlândia - MG with the objective of presenting Flag football as a theme for Elementary School Physical Education classes. and analyze the acceptance and degree of satisfaction of students and teachers. Methodologically, we use the experiential classes approach, showing students the history, rules and fundamentals of the sport. The potential of the sport was highlighted, and its possibility of insertion within the school environment, taking Flag football as a growing non-traditional sport in the world and expanding the sporting culture of students.
