Camarada Cazé, dê a ordem: a circulação dos posicionamentos políticos de Casimiro Miguel na internet

Abstract

This monograph deals with the circulation of political meanings present in the discourse and content of the streamer and influencer Casimiro Miguel. A social networks phenomenon, Cazé gained notoriety due to his produced content, and it was no different regarding his political positions. Connected to the left-wing political spectrum, the influencer is able to position himself politically while seeking to raise awareness of his audience about what he thinks is right or wrong. At this moment, one perceives the constitution of specific discursive operations that permeate the streamer's discourse, operations which this thesis seeks to identify in order to explore how the insertion of political positions in Casimiro's content occurs. Ahead, the nicknames “Comrad Cazé” and “Comrad Casimiro” appear on Twitter, which seek to link the streamer to the ideology of communism. It is from these terms that it is possible to observe a flow present in the circulation of the streamer's contents in social networks that involve the participation of different circuits. With this, from the constitution of the case as a mediatized case, the research seeks to analyze the formation and constitution of these interactional circuits that involve the circulation of Casimiro's political discourse. In addition, the thesis seeks to understand how mediatized collectives are able to appropriate Cazé's contents during the process of production and transmission of political positions, seeking to understand how the circulation of political meanings approached by the influencer work, and to reflect on their influence on the formation of psychological meanings on the Internet in general. The research then presents important considerations regarding the political influence of Casimiro, who is able to reach the political field even if he distances himself from it. Still, it is possible to perceive that Casimiro appears, due to his own abilities, in a space of difficult insertion, which lies between positioning himself and exempting himself.
