| Summary: | Este artigo tem como intuito, a partir da análise de algumas fontes primárias, escritas entre I a.C. e X d.C., discutir quais fontes podem contribuir para a construção de uma imagem negativa acerca da figura de Cleópatra VII. Ademais, procura-se refletir como se deu a criação de Cleópatra VII como uma figura negativa e apontar quais motivos e características da governante egípcia foram utilizadas nessas fontes para a reafirmação de sua vilania. Dentro do ensino de História, busca-se compreender qual narrativa sobre Cleópatra é perpetuada através de bases curriculares, livros didáticos e manuais para professores; além disso, busca-se perceber qual espaço a História Antiga tem no ensino de História no Brasil. |
| Abstract: | This article aims, from the analysis of some primary sources, written between I BC and X AD, to discuss which sources can contribute to the construction of a negative image about the figure of Cleopatra VII. In addition, it seeks to reflect on how Cleopatra VII was created as a negative figure and to point out which motives and characteristics of the Egyptian ruler were used in these sources to reaffirm her villainy. Within the teaching of History, we seek to understand which narrative about Cleopatra is perpetuated through curricular bases, textbooks and manuals for teachers; in addition, we seek to understand what space Ancient History has in the teaching of History in Brazil. |
