| Summary: | Os seguros podem ser divididos em duas vertentes, a primeira relacionada ao ramo de vida e a segunda a de não vida, atribuída a bens materiais. Com a pandemia da Covid-19, os governos introduziram leis que impactaram diretamente o risco e o seguro. O presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar os índices econômico-financeiros das empresas do setor de seguros no período da pandemia da Covid-19 listadas na B3. A metodologia adotada é classificada como descritiva e documental com abordagem quantitativa. A amostra é composta por 8 empresas e o período amostral compreende os anos de 2016 a 2022. Foram analisados os indicadores de liquidez, estrutura de capital e rentabilidade e a partir deles foi realizada uma análise por meio de estatística descritiva. Os resultados encontrados foram distintos para índices do mesmo grupo, uma vez que os indicadores de liquidez geral e grau de endividamento sofreram queda no ano de pandemia enquanto os indicadores de liquidez corrente, imediata, ROE e ROI sofreram aumento. |
| Abstract: | Insurance can be divided into two strands, the first related to the life branch and the second to non-life, attributed to material goods. With the Covid-19 pandemic, governments introduced laws that directly impacted risk and insurance. The present study aimed to analyze the economic and financial indices of companies in the insurance sector during the period of the Covid-19 pandemic listed on B3. The methodology adopted is classified as descriptive and documentary with a quantitative approach. The sample consists of eight companies and the sample period comprises the years 2016 to 2022. The indicators of liquidity, capital structure and profitability were analyzed and based on them, an analysis was performed using descriptive statistics. The results found were different for indices of the same group, since the indicators of general liquidity and the degree of indebtedness suffered a decrease in the pandemic year, while the indicators of current and immediate liquidity, ROE and ROI increased. |
