Crédito rural no âmbito da cultura de cana-de-açúcar no Brasil

Abstract

Sugarcane occupies a fundamental place in the Brazilian economy, being for a long time the main product of national agriculture. The objective of this work is to analyze the characteristics and distribution of rural credit destined to this very important monoculture, making a comparative analysis and verifying if the financing for the cost of sugarcane presents some association with the variables of area, production, productivity observed in the five cities that receive the most incentives, in first place, and also, in second place, considering the differences in averages verified in the distribution of funding (by area and by production) in the five regions of Brazil. Therefore, the research can be classified as descriptive with a quantitative nature using data extracted from already published documents and bibliographies. For the study, the period from 2013 to 2020 was considered using the numbers provided by BACEN - Central Bank of Brazil and by CONAB - National Supply Company for tabulation and gathering of information through Microsoft Excel and IBM SPSS software. Through correlation and variance analyses, it is possible to observe that credit for funding is not associated with the variables analyzed in the main producing states. Among the regions of the country, it can be observed that there are significant differences, especially between the average resources destined for funding for the Southeast region, which presents values per hectare and per harvested product higher than the other regions of the country.
