Summary: Electrical discharges on liquid are likely future solutions for nanomaterial synthesis, medicine among other applications. Of which these discharges, the Plasma Jet is one of these configurations. It is placed in the category of cold plasma composed by the discharge into a flow of an inert gas such as argon. By having a Gas Jet, its analysis in fluid dynamics would be essential, however, the majority of studies have a chemical or electrical approach. So, in this context, studies in fluid mechanics must be deepened, especially in the field of surface deformation. This field, little studied, is very important because the surface has an influence on several quantities of interest such as the distribution of the electric field, the size of the plasma and the exchange interface between the plasma and the liquid. It is for this reason that the use of a Free Surface Topography Method was chosen to analyze surface deformations. So, the physical phenomenon for the application of this method is the refraction of a pattern viewed by a camera through the air-liquid interface. The image of the pattern viewed by the camera is distorted if the surface is not flat. An algorithm makes it possible to calculate, from this deformed image, the topography of the surface, by comparing this image with a reference one without deformation.
