Summary:	Esta pesquisa teve por objetivo investigar as possíveis alterações que a implementação do Programa de Auxílio Emergencial gerou na arrecadação tributária do Microempreendedor Individual. Utilizou-se como espaço de análise, dados de 2018 a 2020 de 5.569 municípios. Considerou-se como variáveis o índice de desemprego, a arrecadação tributária; o índice de inadimplência e o número de optantes pelo MEI. Os resultados apontaram que as arrecadações diferiram estatisticamente entre si nas comparações dos anos de 2018 e 2019 com 2020 em todas as regiões, sendo a região Sudeste a que apresentou a maior arrecadação no ano de 2020. Observou-se que mesmo havendo especificidades regionais, em função da crise econômica, a maioria dos governadores decretaram lockdown no ano de 2020, resultando em retração econômica. De modo geral, espera-se que os achados do estudo contribuam evidenciando o funcionamento da política pública do Auxílio Emergencial, endossando ações que possam ter gerado benefícios no período pandêmico e fomentar a produção de conhecimento na área tributária e de pequenos negócios.
Abstract:	This research aimed to investigate the possible changes for the implementation of the Emergency Aid Program in the tax collection of the Individual Microentrepreneur. Data from 2018 to 2020 from 5.569 municipalities were used as a space for analysis. Considered as variables the unemployment rate, tax collection; the standard rate and the number of MEI opters. The results indicate that the collections differed from each other in the comparisons of the years 2018 and 2019 with 2020 in all regions, with the Southeast region being the one with the highest collection in the year 2020. It was observed that even with regional specificities, due to the crisis economy, most governors decreed lockdown in the year 2020, resulting in retraction. It is expected that the findings of the policy study will contribute to highlighting the functioning of the public policy of Emergency Aid, endorsing actions that may have generated benefits in the pandemic period and fostering the production of knowledge in the tax and small business area.
