Abstract

This monograph presents a comparative analysis between sports broadcasting on radio, television and streaming. A total of twelve soccer broadcasts were followed (four on radio, four on television, and four by streaming) to understand the similarities and differences. It was detailed in the theoretical part the history of sports broadcasting on radio and later on television and the recent history of streaming in sports. Convergence theory of Jenkins (2009) has been addressed throughout the monograph. The data analyzed show that radio's pioneering influence on the other two means of broadcasting sports. It was possible to verify that depending on the Internet, streaming can have problems in its quality.
