Análise e discussão das causas atribuídas por alunos ao insucesso no exame vestibular

Abstract

This work was developed from a scientific initiation research on the problem of failure in entrance exams, analyzed according to the students' perception, and based on the Attribution Theory. It was qualitative research of a descriptive nature, carried out from the application of an open questionnaire, with the participation of twenty-two students from a pre-university course in the city of Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, in 2019. The general objective It was to identify the causes attributed by research participants to failure in the entrance exam, and to raise a general table of attributions for analysis and discussion. The data obtained showed that, according to the perspective of the participants, there was a combination of internal and external factors that influenced the failure in the exam, with the emotional dimension being the most impacted. The results obtained showed a framework of pressures that the student has to deal with and reinforced the importance of psychological support, including possibilities for the use of art, to better prepare the student and the institution for that moment.
