Abstract

The world's scarcity of water and the search for its economy has led man to seek methods and means to reduce his waste. Allied to this, it is one of the challenges of engineering to propose constructive methods and means of saving water from inside the house. The present work emphasizes the individualized water metering systems, which represent a form of hydraulic design of buildings focused on conscious use. By paying for one's own account, the user tends to have a more economical mindset regarding water expenditure. In this way, the work makes a theoretical approach to the subject, followed by a practical approach, made with the use of computational software. After sizing the system it was possible to observe some changes in the quantitative of the materials besides the inclusion of 22 hydrometers that in the system of collective measurement of water did not exist. However, there was not an excessive increase of materials since the increase relative to the passage of pipes through the floor slab linings of the apartments was relatively compensated by the decrease of pipes of the barrel and the columns of distribution of cold water. In addition, the water saving due to its rational use compensates the investments.
