Dentro da moldura, o reflexo como o real: um devaneio hedonista em “O retrato de Dorian Gray”, de Wilde, pincelado pela psicanálise lacaniana

Abstract

The present study has as its main objective the elaboration of a theoretical revision of the Lacanian psychoanalysis on the reflection of the characteristic traits of a hedonistic subjectivity lived in the middle of the Victorian era (1837-1901) and the entanglement of it in the ensnarement of signifiers that prevail in the production of fantasy. From this framework we turn to the protagonist of the work "The Portrait of Dorian Gray" by the Irish writer Oscar Wilde, to unravel an identity that was corrupted from the passage of the discourse Other’s and its repercussions in the crossing of the desiring subject of desire from the Other. It refers, therefore, to a re-reading of this fantastic genre work in the light of a bibliographical revision of psychoanalytic bias. The efforts are concentrated on clarifying points such as: the subject cleaved by the discourse of the Other, the mirror stage, the narcissism, fetishism, daydreams, the neurotic structure with coastlines in the perverse, concomitant with their interpellations in the symptomatic paradigm of Dorian Gray and his resulting false self.
